Vintage Liberty Bell Bank First State Bank Adair County Orient Iowa Bankers

This is a vintage Liberty Bell replica coin bank, likely used as a promotional item by the First State Bank of Adair County in Orient, Iowa. The bell features the iconic ‘PROCLAIM LIBERTY THROUGHOUT ALL THE LAND UNTO ALL THE INHABITANTS THEREOF LEV XXXV.X’ inscription. The base of the bank is clearly marked with ‘LIBERTY BELL’ (registered trademark), ‘U.S. PATENT OFFICE’, and a patent date of ‘FEB. 18 – 1919’. It was manufactured by ‘THE BANKERS SAVINGS & CREDIT SYSTEM CO. CLEVELAND O. U.S.A.’. This piece is a wonderful example of historical banking memorabilia and a classic savings bank design. It shows age-appropriate wear, patina, and some surface discoloration, consistent with its vintage nature. Please examine all photos carefully for condition. Key is not included.
